Facts

Each zone and special wereda used to submit reports by hand which implied huge costs to transport staff to Awassa. Moreover any changes had to be redone and submitted again by hand. The system tightly integrates with the Budget, Disbursement and Accounts System (BDA) and the Budget Information System (BIS) that is functioning at all the sites.

This system would serve as a model for the all regions of the country including the Federal Government since it runs on a low-level data communication infrastructure and realizes a huge reduction in communication costs.
